This small family-owned boutique vineyard welcomes you to come and experience old-fashioned European hospitality at its best. Semillon, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are our award-winning premium wines, all produced from the Estate's own 30-year-old vines. Honeytree also invites you to come and let your taste buds experience a whole new pleasure with our much sought after favourite 'Clairette', a rare wine that seems to excel in our Honeytree soil. Honeytree Estate Vineyard was first planted in 1970, in the heart of the Hunter Valley wine region. The vineyard takes it's name from a majestic Honeytree once grown on the property, which stood as a landmark for many years.

Honeytree produces premium wines winning many awards at various wine shows. The vineyard has 23 acres with the following varieties of grapes:

5 acres Shiraz, 6 acres Cabernet Sauvignon, 6 acres Semillon and 5 acres Clairette.

Clairette is a much sought after wine originally from the south of France which seems to excel in the Hunters conditions. The 1998 vintage was sold out in just four weeks. Because of this the present owners decided to graft Clairette onto four acres of existing root stock, therefore the Traminer 1998 has been the last vintage.

This small family owned boutique winery has not been operated to its full potential which is that it can produce around 55,000 bottles of wine per year. With the right operator this winery can turn into an excellent business.
