Manjit Anandani, a formally trained artist and former owner of Kamdin Designs, the chic Lexington Avenue custom rug shop, established The Westport Company as an importer/distributor of exclusive rugs and shawls.

Over the years, Manjit has been featured as a decorative rug expert, recommended by New York Times, New York Magazine and Town and Country.  She has lectured on designing rugs to the members of ASID and other professional organizations.
