Airfix published an intense and thorough research magazine about civilian and wartime vehicles, buildings and such. Very often, the articles were written by the very men who had been flying/driving the vehicles so, like,  they knew their ropes.   Up until that time, there was nothing similar, and these issues, more documantary than otherwise,  are still avidly sought out by researchers.  Ever want to know how many changes in propeller hub colours the Luftwaffe went through between 1939 and 1945, these magazines will have it.  Not bad for a company whose purpose was to build plastic models!
Not even google has the information nowadays to the wonderful world of detail modeling which the Airfix books represent. I have about 4 years of them on the "flea market" page of my web site.  http://www.southtower.on.ca/FleaMarket/FleaMarket.html
Might mean some scrolling down, but hey...its worth the trouble.
Of course, the airfix mags are not the only thing on my "flea market" page.  Mechanics Illustrated, Science and Mechanics from the 1970's are also represented here.  At a cut rate because they are in rough condition.  Well, hey, they get used!  At a buck each or less, its a deal.

US shipping is cheaper than Canadian Shipping, so I will take a visa number or a barter number over the phone for the shipping.  We never quite know how much the shipping will be....   And yes, to cut these deals, we can talk shipping in Barter if that is easier.  Might need two transactions though.
Most all of these transactions will be going through my broker in any case.
My phone number is 1-613-821-1846.
