Delicate, soulful and whimsical, my mixed media paintings are inspirational meditations on nature and reinvention. I use local botanicals and pigmented beeswax as a contemporary reinterpretation of the ancient Egyptian art technique called “encaustic”. 

My art is sold in local retail stores and galleries and is available here for barter. 

This original art work is titled: Confetti. The materials are dried botanicals, pigmented beeswax and vintage paper doilies. It measures: 28" x 28" x 2". 

This painting has a very tactile, textural and sculptural feel due to the botanicals that are raised on the surface. 

It was chosen for the "Roots" exhibit at the Sebastopol Arts Center in 2011.
